The Ray Gun Mk 2 is one of the most powerful Wonder Weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, and you can get it in Shattered Veil.

Unlike the original Ray Gun, Shattered Veil’s version offers additional elemental upgrades, making it even deadlier. If you’re looking to get the Mk 2 on the Shattered Veil map, you’ll need to follow a specific set of steps.

It’s not as simple as hitting the Mystery Box – you’ll need to solve a code, track down an enemy, and use some clever thinking. It’s a crucial part of completing Shattered Veil’s main quest easter egg, so let’s break it down step by step.

How to get the Ray Gun Mk 2

1. Look for the Lab Technician Zombie in the Mainframe Chamber or Security Overlook (spawning randomly past Round 10). Eliminate it to obtain a Floppy Disk.
2. Insert the Floppy Disk into the fax machine in the East Foyer. This will print a document containing a four-letter code: MOTH, YETI, CRAB, or WORM.
3. Head to the Nursery, where you’ll find a blackboard that helps decipher your four-letter code. Just bear in mind that the blackboard is different every game, so you’ll need to figure it out yourself. The letters will be grouped in different sizes, and the number of letters in each group is your keypad code E.g,
   • Y is in a group of five – 5
   • E is in a group of four – 4
   • T is in a group of eight – 8
   • I is in a group of two – 2
4. Use the keypad next to the downstairs Doppelghast to enter your code. Killing the Doppelghast will drop a severed arm.
5. Take the severed arm to the DNA scanner in the Armory, and you will receive the Ray Gun Mk 2.

All Ray Gun Mk 2 Upgrades

Of course, you could Pack-a-Punch your deadly Ray Gun, but there are also a series of other upgrades to check out as well.

Ray Gun Mk 2-W (Wraith Fire)

To get the Wraith Fire upgrade for the Ray Gun Mk 2, follow these steps:

1. Use the Ray Gun Mk 2 to destroy blue rocks in the Conservatory, dropping an Empty Canister.
2. Bring the Canister to the device in Shem’s Henge(in front of Speed Cola), triggering an Abomination spawn.
3. Let the Abomination charge three smaller blue rocks to make them float, then complete a lockdown sequence by killing vermin.
4. Retrieve the Explosive Canister and craft the Ray Gun Mk 2-W at the Supply Depot.

Ray Gun Mk 2-R (Plague Variant)

To get the Plague Variant upgrade for the Ray Gun Mk 2, follow these steps:

1. Get an Empty Canister.
2. Throw an LT-53 Kazimir grenadeinside the Rear Patio window (near Double Tap Root Beer).
3. Collect four Plant Seeds by shooting them with the base Ray Gun Mk 2 at these locations:
   • Shem’s Henge
   • A tree in the West Balcony
   • Left of the mansion entrance
   • Near the Garden Pond staircase
4. Insert the Canister in the Conservatory and plant the seeds in the planters.
5. Defend the planters until they mature, transforming the Empty Canister into the Toxic Canister.
6. Take the Toxic Canister to the Garden Pond workbench to craft the Ray Gun Mk 2-R.

Ray Gun Mk 2-P (Phantom Variant)

To get the Phantom Variant upgrade for the Ray Gun Mk 2, follow these steps:

1. Get the Essence Bomb from breakable wooden boxes.
2. Then, use it on the rumble next to the Level 3 Armor in the Service Tunnel to open a big room.
3. After that’s out of the way, gather two Refractors, which you’ll find in the Conservatory’s fountain and the South West Balcony’s fountain.
4. Those Refractors will guide you to the three Doppelghast statues.
5. Hit them and kill the Doppelghasts to get a Canister.
6. Take the Canister to Eddie’s Bedroomand craft the Ray Gun Mk 2-P.
